October President’s message

Hello everyone,

Happy Fall to all! I’m really enjoying the cooler weather we have been experiencing lately that comes with the season change.

It certainly takes a lot of volunteers to help our association stay strong.  September was an extremely busy month, and I want to thank the following people for helping out with the events held:

(1)     Charlie Parton and Dale Hinkle for manning the exhibit at the Maryville Farmers Market, and a special thanks to Teresa Best for preparing the honey punch ahead of time,

(2)     Dennis Barry and Richard Ferguson for setting up the exhibit at the Tennessee Valley Fair in Knoxville and the others, who assisted and worked during the fair

(3)     Charlie and Darlene Parton for helping and working at the Farm Ag Day tour in Louisville, and

(4)     Doug Hardwick and Dennis Barry for setting up the exhibit at the Heritage Festival Center in Townsend and to Sue Tarwater for judging the honey and beeswax in the show, and to anyone else who helped them.

I look forward to seeing everyone at our October 11 meeting.

Thank you,

Terry Best
