We’ve received this email recently from the folks at the Creative Discovery Museum in Chattanooga:
Dear Blount County Beekeepers,
Creative Discovery Museum is looking for beekeepers that care about honey bees to work as volunteers at the 14th annual Honey Harvest Saturday, July 26 and Sunday July 27th. Honey Harvest is one of the museum’s most popular special events and draws over a thousand guests both days!
Honey Harvest, the only local event of its kind in Chattanooga, is a museum-wide celebration of honey bees. Beekeepers are needed to talk, share and educate children and their families about honey bees and how honey is made.
During the Honey Harvest celebration, guests will be able to make their own honey lip balm, beeswax candle and honey soap to take home. They will also be able to taste different kinds of honey, participate in honey extraction and meet local beekeepers.
Please consider joining us for one or both days of Honey Harvest this year. Beekeepers are needed Saturday, July 26th and Sunday, July 27th from 11:00 a.m. until 4:00 p.m. All Honey Harvest volunteers receive up to 3 free admissions for friends and family members, free parking and lunch both days of the event. Please click the link below to sign up. Best of all, you will not need to register an account to sign up!
Thanks for making a difference!
