The Blount County Beekeepers Association meets on the second Monday of every month, except for September and December, at 6:30 p.m. at the Maryville Church of Christ, 611 Sherwood Drive in Maryville.

All of the meetings are open to the public, and anyone interested in learning more about beekeeping is welcome and encouraged to attend.

February 10 – Joel Parton (Nectar and Pollen Sources)

February 22 – BCBA short course for new beekeepers (9am – 3pm)

March 9 – Geoff Williams (Auburn University)

April 13 – Charlie Harrell & Carson Tipton (Nicot Queen Rearing System)

May 11 – Tammy Potter

June 8 – Luke Newman (Honey Extraction)

July 13 – Michele Colopy (Pollinator Stewardship)

August 10 – Charlie Parton (Pests, Diseases and their Treatment)

September 14 – No meeting (TN Valley Fair)

October 12 – Vote for officers and AUCTION (note this is a month earlier this year)

November 9 – Howard Kerr (Honey Bee Biology)

December 14 – Christmas dinner @ Rothchild’s Banquet Hall 8807 Kingston Pike Knoxville, TN

 One quick announcement and reminder:
The deadline to RSVP to the BCBA Christmas dinner has been extended until tomorrowDecember 6th. Please come if you’re available this coming Monday, Dec. 9th at 6:30 pm. The cost for the dinner is $20.

* Reminder to those coming- bring a small bee related holiday grab bag gift if you would like to participate. The budget for these bags are $20.

BCBA Christmas Party

Hello BCBA members,

BCBA’s Christmas Dinner event will take place on Monday, December 9th at 6:30 at Rothchild Catering
8007 Kingston Pike.

Dale Hinkle is donating honey that will be incorporated into the dinner and dessert.

Anyone wanting to participate in a holiday grab bag is encouraged to bring a bee related gift with a spending budget of $20.

The cost for the dinner is $20. Please have all checks mailed by Dec. 2nd to Bernie McGraw, 1220 Havenwood Dr., Maryville, 37804. No payments will be received the night of the dinner.
